Hey guys Im fairly new to this forum and had a question I was hoping to get some answers for. I have a 2003 G35 coup 6mt I bought almost a year ago. The last 2 times that I have gotten on it pushing about 90 or so pretty quick and after I begin braking all my dash lights light up my engine seems to almost shut down, all my gears lock forcing me to stop and pull over??...I turned the car off sat for 30 secs and then restarted and everything was fine and drove away. Don't understand the problem and am going to have my mechanic take a look at it, but wanted to run it by here first if anyone has had a similar issue.

 

i dont know what it is but i am guessing battery fluid or terminal problem?

when you said you had gear lock forced you to stop, you cannot even clutch it out in neutral and let it slide?

 

No I can clutch it into neutral but literally it forces me to stop. I dunno never had anything like it happen..and it runs fine after that like nothing happened and she runs great.

its happened to me twice.. no ****in idea what happened or why.

 

Does it almost feel like a rev limiter?

Do you have an aftermarket intake? When i installed mine it would randomly shut the car down because there was too much oil on the filter and it was clogging the maf.
