Window improperly seated?
I finally started having window problems! But my window problem doesn't quite sound like what others are experiencing. Ever since I bought my 05 coupe preowned, I've noticed that when I use the auto down on the drivers side window, when the window reaches the bottom, there's kind of a thud. It almost sounds like the window has hit something gently when it gets all the way down to the bottom. Well, today while running errands, I parked and went to put my window back up and on the first try, it did not seem to respond at all. I tried a few more times and the window would come up maybe about 2-3 inches and then fall back down (again making that thud). Finally, after trying repeatedly, it seemed almost as though the window "caught" and then it came back up all the way perfectly. When the window DOES work, the motor seems strong and does what it needs to do, but when it doesn't work, it just seems like it is not gripping the glass pane itself. I am reading the DIY sticky for cleaning the window motors but I'm not sure that this would help my problem. I'm just trying to find out if it will before I start disassembling my door panel. Has anyone else had this problem? or does anyone know what this sounds like? Help is much appreciated!

Try greasing your regulator. Other than that, open her up and take a look around. The window is held onto the regulator by 3 bolts, so grip isn't a problem. Good luck!
