I got 05 coupe and I need a lot of help finding the problem.

1. TPMS light came back on AGAIN 2 days after the reset by the dealer.
2. OEM BOSE HU doesn't play any CDs. it just says "CHECK DISK"
3. when I set the e-brake, the e-brake light on the dash doesn't come on at all.
4. went to dealer, and the tech said compression rod bushings cracked and estimated cost was $940 USD. I thought it was covered by the powertrain warranty?? any input for this?

any thoughts and inputs are welcome and appreciated!

Just about anything dealing with the suspension are considered wear items and are not covered by the warranty.

If you still have the full warranty the dealer will fix #2 for free.

 

Compression rod bushings would be replaced by warranty. Several members actually got theirs replaced under warranty. I went it to get mine replaced but they told me that the bushings were "fine" for now.

 

I had this same error, and my radio was replaced under warranty.

 

Doesn't someone make some compression rod bushings out of polyurethane?

 

Every once in while my CD player wont play a cd. Try cleaning the disc and inside of the radio where you put the cd in.

 

I specifically asked if the bushings were covered under warranty and the dealership told me they weren't.

 

hmm. i guess i have to buy the compression rods from somewhere.
Also, i will try the cleaning CD method first, before i start looking for the new OEM HU.
BTW, how much does the stock used and good working HU goes for?
