Full exhaust question.????????

This may or may not have been answered b4. I tired searching for the direct answer that im looking for but couldn't find the exact answer that I wanted. so please dont jump down my thoart if it has been answered

anyway, I was wondering does anyone have the Stillen Full Exhaust Trifecta?
(meaning Stillen Header, Stillen HFC's, and Stillen Exhaust.)
wanting to know how is the sound with this set up? Is it to loud and did you have CEL issues(only wondering because Stillen headers say "OFF ROAD USE ONLY") If possible post a link to a sound clip

Also does anyone have Fast Intensions Exhaust with HFC's? or Borla with HFC's? which setup do you think is better for sound? maybe i should set up a poll:
Stillen w/HFC's & headers,
Fast Intensions w/HFC's & headers,
or Borla w/HFC's & headers

I do understand that headers will make your car substantially louder however
im looking for something with a deep growl, not to loud at idle or crusing speed but really sounds good at high RPM's.
I really dont want anything that will wake up my neighbors every morning when I get ready crank up and drive off.
thanks in advance

Have you tried youtubing any of those exhausts?

I'd do it for you but I'm at work and it is blocked.

You could check YOUTUBE for the sound you're looking for but all you hear is what it sounds like thru someone's recording machine which might be a $2= recording device. Before you spend $2500= on the exhaust system you described go to MEETS and HEAR what our G35s sound like with all the different systems available. I've had 5 different systems on my coupe, wish someone would have given me this same advice....forget Borla, been there! Look into HKS, Motordyne or Stillen, all sound great but deeper with just HFCs!

Im actually at work myself and its blocked at my job aswell lol
But I have been on Youtube and heard the different exhaust but like gary said i cant really get a real true feel for the sound via youtube.
And another thing is that i tried searching on you tube for the Stillen trifecta(headers,HFC's,Exhaust) but didnt see what i was looking for. its mostly sound clips with plp mixing different exhaust parts. which is totally fine, i was just thinking with the Stillen trifecta u might get the best sound with the best numbers.

Thanks again Gary for the good advice.
from what i heard with the HKS exhaust on youtube it seems like it would b a lil to loud for my taste or at least for my DD. however im not b any means knocking the sound. it does sound good.
I think I norrowed my search down to Stillen or Fast Intensions.
I heard they are both great exhaust systems but Fast Intensions is a notch above Stillen :True or False????

Don't bother with headers... unless you are getting long tube headers and don't mind getting pulled over within 1 minute and having your car state ref.

Fast Intentions HFCs and HKS high power true dual exhaust is what you want. I would not even bother with headers. Berk HFC are also good from what I hear. I dont know how true this is but I heard the Stillen exhaust or HFCS are more restrictive than others (but again dont quote me on this).

Try getting FI HFCs first. It will give you the deeper growl you want without it being too loud.

I just installed Berk HFC with MD XYZ/Resonator and stock exhaust on my coupe. It definatley got deeper and just a bit louder at stock WOT (3/4).

Strange enough when I had added the Osiris eTune, it got even deeper, a bit louder again, and much more responsive. I suspect that the adjusted AFR, timing and real WOT settings had something to do with the change in sound. I like it so much that I'm now holding off on the rest of the exhaust system I had been planning.

Would post sound clips but I only got one of those $2 recording devices on my iPhone...actually it was only 99 cents from the App store

False!
I've had several friends with FI exhaust and I wasn't impressed, in fact I didn't like they way it sounded! It had zero growl even at WOT, very much like the OE system. Stillens dual cat back system is very well made with their superior crossover and mellow sound. Most of the restriction is within the OE cats so once you have a good exhaust and HFCs you don't need headers and the headaches involved with them unless you go Forced Induction. HKS exhaust is only too loud if you include test pipes which cause rasp most of the time. After all the systems I've had HKS is my final/best choice for sound and construction! G/L

The best exhaust in my personal opinion is...Motordyne with ART pipes. Expensive a hell though. Best fit, quality, finish and best customer service over all. Stillen and HKS are great though, but also look at Nismo and Fujitsubo if you want a quieter system. I also like the sound of the Greddy EVO2 true dual from some reason.

I have the so called "trifecta" Stillen SS headers, HFC'S and true dual cat back. I love the sound very throaty and pretty loud at WOT and yes it has a little drone and rasp but not noticable if your listening to music or whatever.

My recommendation if you decide to go this route make sure you get a tune cause if you don't you'll be runnin a little lean

GL with your choice
