05 coupe

I posted on buying/selling/leasing section but didn't receive much replies so I will try here..

I just wanted to know whether a 05 coupe with 42k miles and sports pkg priced at 16.8 OTD is a reasonable price to pay.

Autocheck and Carfax shows no indication of any problems.

Yes, that sounds reasonable and even better if it's in mint condition.

I checked the car out twice and didn't see any dents, scratches, or any signs of repainted body. Only thing that I did not like was the fact that the driver's seat was a little ripped near the plastic on the left hand side but I guess that is common with theses after searching..

^There's a TSB for that tear in the seat, might be able to get that fixed at a dealer for free. Good price though.

That's a good price. I recently payed 17.2k for an '05 Coupe 6MT w/ Nav, 39k miles before taxes. I thought that was a pretty good deal after looking nationwide for months.

I just picked up an 05 6 MT for about 17k OTD. Odometer showed 54k miles on it but the engine was replaced at 25k miles due to the oil consumption issue thats prevalent in the rev ups. I also have the little tear on the driver's seat near the plastic but my warranty is far over for getting this issue fixed. I had estimates done around town and they all seem to fall within $200-250, in case you're looking into getting it reupholstered. Either way, very much happy with the purchase! Good luck with your shopping!

technical service bulletin.. it is DEFINITELY covered under bumper to bumper.. hurry up.. they also cover the homelink mirror button from being scratched.. the paint comes off. while ur in there tell them that your windows don't roll up all the time... tell them they work intermittently.. they will give u new window motors.. AND.. shoot.. mind as well tell them ur doors don't always unlock or lock with your keyfob or your buttons.. they;ll get replaced too.. tell them everything is intermittent.. that way, since it's a tsb.. they will just replace it without hassle..

Why not. It's a known problem and they are known tsb's. If u mention it to them, they have to follow protocol. And Infiniti pays for it anyway, not the dealer. These are very common issues and i had over half of them done and did t even know about the tsb's. I wish I knew about the seat and the mirror buy by the time I realized it it was too late.

I got 2 window motors
1 vq35 v2 longblock
1 tranny
3 clutch pedals
1 slave cylinder
1 power steering pump
And maybe some other stuff

What I didn't get and had to pay for or just didn't fix?
1 passenger door lock actuator
1 driver side seat rip
1 homelink mirror paint chip
1 gas tank sensor or something( gas yank doesn't fill all the way)
If I knew about this before my warranty ended last July I would have had it all fixed for free.
These are ALL tsb's
Do it..!!!

yea, I'd def. look into the window issue. I just started experiencing them myself :/ thankfully theres a good sticky on here that shows you how to perform a temporary fix and another sticky linked from it that shows how to change out the motor brush as a permanent fix. haha i'm kind of excited to put my electrical engineering skills to work outside of actual work as for the seat tear, my bumper to bumper warranty has long expired so I hit up quite a few reupholstery shops around town and they all estimate it around $200-250. some of the shops have even claimed that infiniti has them perform the TSB repair for them...whether this is true or not is beyond me. just passing on the info i've been told.
