Ran an S2000 last night.

I was pulling out of starbucks and an S2000 just happened to be pulling out at the exact same time... I looked down at my odometer and it said 1175 miles... so I said oh what the hell...

I realized that my VDC was on, but the light was about to turn green and I didn't have time to switch it off, but I said fuggit and gunned it... I didn't roll it off in first as smooth as I should've so he pulled on me through first, but then as soon as we hit second, it was game over for him... This being my first time racing in my G35C, I was soo excited that I didn't realize that by the time we hit fourth, he was on breaking for some railroad tracks (his car was lowered, mine flew right through, gotta love luxury suspension)... Anyhow, it wasn't exactly a fair fight with the railroads I guess... but by the time he broke for the rail road tracks, he was already about 2 car lengths behind... I slowed down to wait for him, but by that time it was obvious that he had had enough of my INFINITI POWA (cheese, i know)... btw, it was a really sweet looking S2000 and we did exchange kind greetings at the next light.

cool story, then after the railroad tracks all you needed was a trailer ramp so the s2000 could do a barrel roll over your g35. de ja vu

when you hit 2nd gear did the car bog since the vdc was on?

Some guy I know did 13.7 with his stock S2000 with a CAI, he wants to race me when my break in is over but I'm not sure if I want to race him.

I told him I want to do a highway pull in 4th gear.

Yeah, the car chirped then bogged at the start of second so he pulled for a split second, then when power band kicked into effect I made up whatever distance was between us and pulled on him through third... I kept pulling through the tracks and by the time I got past the nerves and really looked back, all I saw were his very blue headlights.

I have no mods on my 6MT.

but one important thing to note, I had just finished putting 4 5/8 quarts of fresh mobile 1 at 1170 miles.

Re: out run this

If by "crouch rockets," you mean Motorcycles, I doubt they were really racing you. A good bike can take a great car any day of the week. The HP/Weight ratio for a bike is ridiculous.

I don't doubt the other kills though.

You dusted speed bikes from a stop? Somehow I doubt that.

Re: out run this

I'd have to agree. I have only seen 2 cars beat a sport-bike on the roads. One was a twin-turbo, as well as super-charged SC300 that beat a stock Hyabusa (however you spell it) and run neck & neck with a modded Hyabusa. Also saw an old 240Z with heavily modded, seriously blown LS1 swap, smoke an R6 or R1 (can't remember). Both of these MPEGs are on the net somewhere. Anyone know which ones I'm talking about, and know where to find them?

Re: out run this

Yea I got lots of highway run videos on my computer and got one where a guy in a HKS 2835 TT Supra races a Hayabusa and gets totally spanked by the TT supra from a 70 MPH roll on.

Re: out run this

Probably the only bike when can beat is a Honda Goldwing and I say probably.
