Why we dont go to walmart for !!!

So i blew a tire out on the highway day before yesterday and had no spares. Luckily a fellow G driver had some used stock 19" tires for me to buy from him cheap.

So then I needed to have them mounted and balanced. Well on Sunday there isnt a dang place around that is open except walmart so i figured what the hell, take em there and they can mount a couple tires. First they wouldnt do it for me because they said the tires werent good enough to put on the car so I had to go out in the parking lot and remove the wheels from my car myself with the stock jack.

Next, i took them inside had them mounted (hour wait for 2 tires) and when I got them back, they had rashed up the entire lip of one rim and about half of the other. The manager told me it was my fault and it was normal wear and tear. I then walked him out to my car and told him to inspect my other wheels (which are friggin mint) and said how come theres no wear and tear on these then. I also showed him the metal shards that were still stuck to the tire where they dug into the wheel and paint. He then handed me a paper and told me to fill out a report while he took pictures. He wouldn't give me a copy of the pictures he took so I took my own. Then he tried to tell me that I couldnt have a copy of the report and that he would sign it when he had chance and submit it to the insurance company. After 20 minutes of arguing, i made him sign it in front of me and then copy the report and give me a time line of when I would hear from there insurance.

SO THIS IS WHY WE DONT LET WALMART NEAR OUR CARS!!!!

do you guys think i should call my insurance company or wait to hear from theres?

I'm surprised they even attempted to do work on your 19s. I brought my stock 18s one time to get a plug/patch, and after dropping off just the wheel and tire, I called them back four hours later for them to tell me that they "can't do low profile tires" since they don't have the capability...I was like seriously, you couldn't call me?

No your insurance has nothing to do with this matter. This is entirely the responsibily of Walmart's. And if they try to screw you out of it, there's always the lawsuit route...

I had a similar situation happen to me at SAM's CLub. They ruined all four wheels on my Acura and I just waited for the rep from SAM's to call and they had me fax an estimate from Acura to replace them and sent me a check. I didn't fix my wheels and went to Vegas instead! Good luck and ^ what he said.

everything
I f*cking hate Walmart... refuse to go there. The only thing Id ever buy there pertaining to any vehicle is Megiuars products.

I would have waited... most garages have dumb apes working there who dont give 2 sh*ts about anyones car. Walmart must hire below average dumb apes to work in the car care centers. I wouldnt even bring a $300 winter beater to Walmart for service.

Walmart and car care shouldnt even be used in the same sentance....

Sorry to hear that, but you did the right thing, sometime these guys think because they are the mangers they have the right to do whatever they want, "sign it when he had a chance” that’s bs.
The guys in martin tire in Las Cruces are complete troglodytes, I took my other car a 99 Z28 once to get my tires rotated and balanced and when they were finished the guy that was supposed to drive my car out of the shop and park it in the lot, 1st of all revved it up, then he popped the clutch on my car, man it pissed my off I went outside got in an argument with the guy driving it because after I see the tire mark on the pavement, and see him do it he still denies it, then I go to the “manager” and he tells me that sometimes the guys don’t have a lot experience with manual cars. We argued for a while but at the end got nowhere so I just left

Wallyworld won't get my $$....ever!

For the largest retail company on the planet along with being the most profitable they hire poor quality help and pay them accordingly which pisses me off. I have 2 Wallyworlds within 10 minutes of me and I refuse to shop at either. I don't care how low their prices you won't get me thru the door plus everything in their stores is China/Korea or Viet Nam junk another source of aggrivation....
