Re: rear rattling/squeeking...

if the noise is coming from the rear deck, there is a TSB that the dealer can easily perform.

Re: rear rattling/squeeking...

You know.. I think I have squeaks coming from both doors. It's not all the time though, as it doesn't make any noise sometimes. Anybody have squeaks coming from their doors?

There's squeeks and rattling coming from all over the car. There's a TSB forum on this site I believe where you can read about them.

I believe my rattles are determined by the temperature though. The colder it gets, I start hearing even more rattles.

Might have a point there. On my previous Honda and Toyota, squeaking/rattling happens when the temp drops. And both cases they have to fix the sunroof, put new rubber stoppers or re-grease it I think. But come next winter, it'll happen again.

I dropped the car today at the dealer for some "annoyances". One of them is the rattle from the rear shelf.
We'll see how good they are...

Re: rear rattling/squeeking...

If you're talking about the rattle in the rear seat...inside the car...try this...buckle both your rear seat belts...I had a rattle problem that drove me nuts...had one of my passengers figure out what it was while I was driving and it was the rear seat belt vibrating on the side of the rear wall. Buckled in both of the seat belts and problem fixed.

If you're talking about an outside noise that sounds almost like metal being twisted...I had that problem too...took it in and the dealer told me there was something wrong w/ the rear splines in the axel...replaced under warranty...problem fixed.
