Megan coilovers vs Corner 8 coilovers

I need a really stiff coilover due to bumpy streets in miami fl and do not want to bottom out my car. I read up on both of them but havent found much info about users satisfaction on them. Whats the drop rate F & R on these two? Also are these two true coilovers? whats the diffrence between true coils and non true coils?

What's making you choose between these two coilovers when you don't know anything about them?

imo, if you have bumpy streets, you dont want a coil with high spring rates. Your focus should be more on dampening rates.

I checked out the thread but I dont really understand it when it comes down to the technical info. All im looking for is for some coils that go low enough and that wont bottom out (in other word my chasis wont hit the floor) my car on wavy streets.

A good choice in the price range of the 2 you mentioned would be the BC Racing. Also, a lot of the Dallas crew is reporting good results out of the MDU coilovers.

I have Tanabe Pro 5 and love them, but they probably don't have enough drop for peeps that want to slam their car.

im in miami, and i have BC coils, they are amazing thus far. The parent company makes megans but IMO they are better quality than the megans.

for my sedan the rates are 12/10

How do the Tanabe Pro 5's ride? I've looked into getting these coilovers too!

They ride very smoothly. They have the "helper" springs that absorb some of the vibration before it gets to the main spring up front. The spring rates are 10/8K and are 12 way adjustable on the dampening. I have them set at 4 clicks from soft and have experimented from full soft to 7 clicks from soft and love the ride at 4. A marked improvement on comfort and handling from S Techs and Z struts/shocks that the coils replaced. I'm very happy with my purchase.

My guess is not a lot of peeps here roll on them because you can't slam your ride with them.

Max 1 1/2 is too little of a drop for me. Sorry.
