Question Life of the G35?

So my G has about 123k miles on it, and i was wondering how long will the average G35 last you? i heard it was from about 180-200+, am i close?. And if your motor does die out how much will it be to replace? Like a rough estimate.

I'm asking this because I was either going to sell the car if its not worth it in the end, or keep it and fix it up.

I've heard pretty good things. If you take care of it and don't beat on it all the time.

You take care of the G then the G will take care of you. I think the highest mileage G is around 180/200,000 miles. But I think replacement VQ35 engine are around $1800/$2500

I own a 2K SE Maxima, as well as my G. I've babied the car and always repaired everything that broke down asap. I'm at 252K but, the engine either needs to be replaced or swapped asap. Based on that I'm pretty sure that our G, being a more expensive car, should easily last a good 200K. The main reason that I bought my G was that my mechanic wanted $4,500 for a full rebuild, on my engine. No way in hell was I going to spend that much on a seven year old car, at the time. I have since learned that you can get a good replacement engine for about $1,500 and another $500 for installation.

Thanks, that's how long i thought the G would last, and 2500 doesn't sound so bad just to replace the engine.

Why not just replace the whole engine with another used engine?
