I've seen 0-60 times for the 330ci range from 5.9-6.2. The G35 Coupe runs 4.9-5.2?!? That's news to me. Fact is the performance capabilities on both cars are close enough that ANYTHING can happen on the street.

I have a G35C and I've driven the 330. While the G does have a slight edge in power, the advantage isn't big enough to guarantee a win.

Well it looks like he got the message as we went for a drive and he wanted to see what he could do at a stop light 2 lane road which merges into one furthur down, well I let it loose and just killed him by almost 6 car lengths before I even got to the merge. We drove back to work and I made a few remarks about how my car just surprises me more and more everyday and he turned around and said that I was a snob and was talking down to him.....hahaha, I almost fell off my chair but it looks like we are back to normal friends again, can't wait to see his face when I tell him I am leaving the company for more money...haha..the war will continue.

MrElussive, not all Fords are shitty, its remarks like that, that cause flames on other threads, thats like the guy who said "it's not just a Nissan" when we all know ours car are under the same flag. I happen to like my Aviator and that is all to it, if you have an issue with that then keep it to yourself.

Have you compared price, standard features, reliability, resale value after 1, 2 or 3 years? Those are several categories that are not anywhere close to being dead even.

I've seen both cars run 15's at the track, well above their mag times. There are just too many factors in street racing that could allow the less powerful car to win. There's no pro tree on the street that'll red light you if you take off early. Sorry, but the hp advantage in the G isn't enough tomake up a 2 car head start.

I don't understand why one car has to be the best and the competitor has to suck. I see the same fanboi garbage on both boards. Both cars have their own good points. I couldn't see a clear advantage either way so I got one of each.

 

I like the phrase ...only if it was a real phrase...haha.

well the chasis is much the same maybe only bigger rims, so are you saying that BMW's with hp>300 are not gay and the ones with hp<300 are gay??. My friend has a 330 with STI oh [censored] is he gay???

 

The 330 (zhp) fully loaded is a better car than the G35. I can understand thinking the 325 isn't a worthy competitor but the 330 with price not being a factor is simply a better vehicle. I think it has better interior appointments, better handling compromise (isn't as harsh), more tossable due to lighter weight (although the limit isn't as high), and a better engine. The VQ is great but that inline is very sweet and the new iterations should be even better (260hp from 3.0L).

I believe the only thing the G has it beat on is long-term reliability, price, and styling (for coupe). The styling and reliabilty is what sold me on the G =)

So when I test drove a 325 right beside the Infinity dealer it was going to cost me a few thousand more. I particularly liked the Leatherette seats;^). It did drive well but felt little and cheap for the money. So you say I could lay down several thousand more and get a 330 - big deal. How does that compare?
By the way I bet your friend has a thread on the BMW forum with a subject Friend is Pis#ing me off. Oh and since when do you need a car to attract a girl - they can stay away from mine - I want to drive it!

Nah my friend is not as savvy with the computer as I am, he is just another bmw owner who thinks he's the best but just gets shown up everytime we go for a drive.

Its funny how bmw owners have that "stare" as I go by. I always tend to gas it a lil extra past 3 series, because its true, there are absolute, die hard, bmw civic, errrr 3 series fans out there that just think they own the road. The ultimate driving machine is true, when you drop about 100+ K on one. Our G's are beautiful machines, inside and out, but there are some bimmers out there that truely live up to that slogan and make our G's look like civics themselves. The 325, does not. The 330, to me, is like a civic si. Bfd what it does, its still a 3. The zhp, I've run into one, and he looked all tough until I downshifted. He slowly fell back (into his place.) Your friend suffers from this syndrom I've described. BMW owners dont like being "beaten" and the G beat the 3 series in numerous comparisons. As far as handling, if my Gtech works correctly, I just planted a .91 down an offramp tonite. So if you want to tell me theyre more nimble thats fine, they dont have the beautiful round *** my car does, but they can stare at it for awhile =)
