Hey Spool,
After installing those LED's, did you notice a big difference when reversing? My windows are tinted. Your picture has inspired me to put some LED's in my 06.

I have leds for my reverse lights in my '06 and was pretty disappointed but satisfied at the same time. The leds do not give off as much or more light than the stock ones do, but they do look waaay better and brighter/noticeable from a distance.

Dude they're white for a reason.

OP I have a set of PIAA Xtreme white bulbs I never got around to installing; did get the LED bulbs for the turn signals though, those are pretty nice. Not sure why about the reverse lights, but if you wanna take it of my hands PM me.

I USED to rely on my reverse lights when backing up, but not so much anymore because i def noticed a drop in visibility with the led's. But they do look nice, so I guess its up to you to decide if its worth it.

After installing LED reverse bulbs I was disapointed in there lack of output. The nearest streetlight to my house is 2 miles. It's VERY dark. I prefer to back up my 180 ft driveway into my garage. My solution was to in stall some Piaa fog lights behind the steel mesh of my aftermarket rear bumper. Works great!

Any led bulb will not be even close to the output of a incandescent bulb unless you build a high power led setup with heatsinking and drivers which then can be brighter . Heres a pic of what i mean .These are in my reverse lights . Also gives a comparison on the difference in regular leds and high power .

The output seemed the same, it was still hard to see when I backed up. But it does look cool though.

I appreciate everyone's input. I thought the reverse led's would be kind of like the drastic change of putting my interior led's... I don't think I want to sacrifice any more visibility at night.... even if it does look cool to someone that would happen to see me in reverse for 6 seconds.

I think these lights are mainly there as precautions for other drivers. But they do help...not a bad idea IMO

Yes you need to remove the whole tail light. Its not that hard at all. Just remove the safety fasteners around the tail light and pull the carpets out and there are three screws holding the tail light in place. Just loosen those up and the tail light will come right out. Its VERY easy.
