119k, whats a good life like?
So today I had a glance at the taco and really thought about the fact my 2005 5AT g coupe is at 119500km.
Looking around the forum it looks like a lot of stuff can happen to these cars? and you guys all have g's that are low km, warm climate and all the other things a car lover could wish for.
MY car is a canadian g, gets winter driven, iv had it a year as of next week and gone from 96k-120k by then. I drive this car hard, red line shifts daily. I only have a intake on it and I run synthetic now, always used 91 min but 98% of the time used 94 octane. Shes never had a problem.. well except for when I went away for 7 weeks and nobody who lives in my house thought they should start the car here and there.. basically was breaking it back in you could say and some **** got stuck in an injector.. letting it sit for a few mins and some fresh fuel fixed that.
Im now doing a lot more work to the car and wondering at 119k km what risks may I start having?
the plans are kenetix manifold(that different style one), megan race headers, cats, a X02 or Topspeed N1 cat back. Iv got Ebiach pro's on it, new wheel set on the menu to. eventually a bore kit and a engine internals beefup
The person who owned it before must have babied the **** out of it, or did something else right because im curious as to why my car is so.. well.. healthy? and I know nissans can run for eternity when taken car of. which she is.
What are your thoughts on my plans and my cars current state related to its age?
And Iv noticed about 2500k into a oil change (gettting them done each 4-5k km) I am at around 1/4 oil and need to top up.. now the VQ is not exactly an engine which savors its oil for later but is this a little to much burn off?
