not a good day for the G..

I was cruising down the highway when all of a sudden i rear a loud rattling noise coming from the rear. Next thing i know, my wheel is gliding past me on the shoulder and i skidded to a stop. Pretty great right? =/ anywho, insurance wont cover it because i didnt hit anything or run over something to cause it so im on my own for fixing it.

a place quoted me 800$ for parts and labor, but im thinking i can buy the parts for way less and do it myself. basically all i need help finding is a rear hub assembly (i already ordered a wheel bearing) so if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great

Who torqued your wheels on and are you running spacers?

It's usually easier to find the whole hub and bearing assembly, cheapest is going to be wreckers. They are not something that usually fails too often on our cars so majority of the scraped Gs should have them.

Remember, G/Z/Gsedan all the same hubs, If not ebay usually has wicked OEM replacement parts.

If not;
car-part.ca finds stuff local to you.

Damn that sucks.

How the hell would the wheels just fall off? This would be a "safety" issue and Infiniti should take a good look at it. Did you report this to Infiniti?

Auto Insurance is the biggest scam ever. It should work the same way medical insurance work.

Meaning, it should not only cover "accidents", but routine maintenance to prevent accidents. Why the hell are we paying a few grand a year? If nothing happens during those years, we should get a small refund or something.

You're paying for the replacement cost of everyone else smashing their cars haha. I would blame that on other G drivers. It's why Subaru WRX insurance is so high.

Instead of "Everyone check your oil" we should have new one posted "Everyone check your wheels lugs!"

that's unusual. I figure you'd hear or feel that something's not right as soon as you pull off your parking spot, even with loose lugs, spacers or not.

It could be that someone tried to steal your wheels and didn't get too far into it?....OR wheel bearing problem perhaps?
