Oh im sorry. Atleast your a IS....you will have pretty good advancement until second class. No bonus for you guys thats weird.

F Nuke. You made the smart choice not to go.

Anything else let me know I am at just over four and think I did quite well. Bootcamp is really all about just listening now adays, unless you have an rdc like ours where she decided she was better then all males and had to prove it. Gl its going to be cold out there. Be ready for it.

there's some 40 year olds who are still goin in now, your definately not too old man especially if you wanna go in as an officer if you have a degree, airforce is super picky and pretty much all branches are nowadays but if its what you wanna do you can't stop trying

Actually the max age to enlist in the Navy is 34 and alot of programs actually have even more strict requirements. Officers actually have to be commissioned prior to their 35th birthday (for most programs)

Here are the age limits for enlisting in military.
•Active duty Army - 42
•Army Reserves - 42
•Army Natinal Guard - 42
•Active duty Air Force - 27
•Air Force Reserve - 34
•Air National guard - 34
•Active duty Navy - 34
•Navy Reserves - 39
•Active duty Marines - 28
•Marine Corps Reserves - 29
•Active duty Coast Guard - 27
•Coast Guard Reserves - 27

your still going to do years of training for that as well it's not as easy to get into as most people think even more difficult to pass that's of course if your still alive at the end.

Im seriously still considering it. Just not sure about being on a boat for extra long periods of time. I just cant help but feel like its a great option for someone like myself who is kind of lost in life. I got a great job but feel like theres something better for me.

Benefits for completing just four years can make it worth your while.

The boat isn't bad. I've been aviation so I've been riding carriers my whole life. Did an amphib once, that was a great deal. Was enlisted for 16 years then took a commission and have done another 13 so I've seen a lot of both sides.

If you're motivated, stay out of trouble, show up to work, and work harder than the guy next to you, you'll do great. It is NOT hard to shine in the Navy, take it from me.

dude, i've never been on a ship and i've been in for 8 years and i never want to i'm a corpsman (HM) we have the option of going with marines you can go back and forth blueside to greenside but your still in the navy it doesn't mean your a marine you would just work with them. i had nothing going for me at the time just wasting my life that's why i joined sometimes it sucks but you have b.s. at ever job, i like it because i don't like staying in one spot for too long (right now i'm in japan, from here back to san diego). seriously consider it any service actually watch out for army they deploy way too much it will burn you out quick.
