Ark grip v2 is $1039 shipped, it's seems like a good deal. Motordyne is around 1500 and stillen around 1200

 

That's a personal preference, gotta hear for yourself.
BUT, most people that do hear the MD in person tend to love it.
On the other hand the Ark Grip is pretty mean sounding with HFCs.

I have an 04 G35 and I need some advice, I have stillen headers and custom test pipes made by JE Import Performance in Baltimore, MD. What exhaust would you suggest if I am not trying to be super loud.I have the stock exhaust and it rattles and I am losing back pressure. It is 2.5 inch piping at the test pipes as well. Some people have also told me I would need resonators so my car would sound good. Any advice would be great, thanks.

I'm looking at getting a new exhaust and quite like the Motordyne like many other G35 owners do but my question is what part causes the gargle noise once the accelerator is let go?

Is the ART test pipes or the actual exhaust?

 

I have a 04 G35 coupe with nismo cai, top speed headers, y-pipe, full exhaust system and a motordyne plenum spacer. I would like to put a resonator to lower the sound a bit. Any advice to which one, where to install the resonator and if it will reduce HP.

 

Is magnaflow a good choice to go with for a deeper

Magnflow only makes a Y-Back exhaust for the G35, sadly it isn't any better than OE. Stillen makes a cat-back real dual system that sounds great and it's made very well, includes there famous x-pipe. www.stillen.com or 1-800-889-9043.

I just don't want that annoying rice burner sound...

 

Miguel, with the exception of removing the OE mufflers nothing you can do to our G35s will make them sound like a ricer aka Honda with fart cannons. The deep growl you're looking for can be had by installing a quality exhaust like the cat-back Stillen I suggested.....Gary

 

Save the money and get one that has been proven to be great and get the sound you want like stillen and the other big names.

 

I think these cars sound sexy as heo stock already.

Take a listen to some of these sound clips. I wanted the same thing you are describing and I used this link to help me pick out my exhaust.

Would this sound good in your opinions? ART pipes to XYZ pipe with resonator to muffler delete. I think itll sound amazing because with just the muffler delete has an awesome sound. What do you guys think??
