Alarm Issue, Urgent!

Thank you for taking the time to read through this. So earlier tonight it started raining, hard. My key fob got soaked, and appears to have been taken out of commission for good. As I quickly found out, there is no apparent way for me to unlock the car using only the key and driving away without the alarm sounding off. Starting the car did not silence the alarm.

If anyone knows how to get into the car, start it, and drive away using only the key, without setting off the alarm, please let me know. I have a goddamn med school interview tomorrow and the sudden appearance of this problem is incredibly frustrating. Thanks all!

Might try disconnecting the battery?

Where are you interviewing at (I've got med school interviews coming up)

Trouble is that I think the car is designed to respond this way, don't see how disconnecting the battery would solve it.

I'll be at the University of Arizona in Tucson, first one of the season

edit: whoops wrong quote...

Sorry to hear it is happening at such a bad time for you. I will (hopefully) be hearing back on interviews for med school about this time next year, so I know how a small problem is such a huge deal. Best of luck on your interview and I hope you get a spot!

Have you tried drying out the inside of the key fob as best as possible? No spare key either?

Don't know how secure your car is/where you park but you could always try this.

Try seeing if there is corrosion on the battery or inside the key fob. I did this to my remote except i accidently washed it. The battery corroded overnight. May just need to clean it and put a new battery in.
