Life of Stock Suspension

Anyone know how long the stock suspension lasts? How much to replace? I had an older Maxima with the MacPherson strut setup and those were expensive to replace. Will the G's suspensions last longer or about the same?

Re: Life of Stock Suspension

Shocks start wearing from the day they are first used.
The seals wear and the Nitrogen charge dissapates.
Actual life depends on bumps/undulations per mile.

Usually you can feel a change by 30,000 miles and by 60k they are noticably softer in rebound.

On my Q45 I've replaced shocks every 60,000 miles and find this a decent balance between cost and handling........I'm on my 5th set now at 268,000 miles.

Depends on if you want them to act close to brand new.

Buy them on the web from discount dealers at 25-30% off list and change them yourselves.

Thanks Q45tech. Do you think the adjustables last longer due to the ability to strengthen the dampening?
