I did the mod today too. I think I probably got about 1/4" maybe 1/2" at the most. But, it was easy and I'm thrilled to have every little bit I can get. It'll still be a tight squeeze with a helmet, but before it would have been impossible. (And I do have the sunroof.)

For the record it took me about 30 minutes but I did remove the bracket thing just behind the screw drive to make it easier to get too. Used regular pliers. It did take a good bit of force to break it free to begin with. I screwed it all the way toward the front of the car until it came off the screw drive shaft and then I backed it up about two turns. Everything works perfectly. Got a serious crick in my neck but its gone now. Thanks to all who got this thread going again.

P.S.: troppo lento = too slow in Italian. I want a Ferrari.

 

i'm 6'8" and have had my 04' 6MT since new. i've never had any trouble with room and have no seat mod. to be honest, i've always had more room in imports than i have in almost every domestic car. no problems with clutch or shifter either.

 

I'm 5 8' with a bigger build. fits like a glove. I can see it being alittle uncomfortable for those over 6 feet. I let my dad drive it and he's just 6 feet and its a little unfortable for him, then again, he drives a truck.
