I just got in the mail today a notice from infiniti that says my side mounted air bags might be at fault. "On some of the 2003-2004 G35 vehicles the seated-mount side air bags could stop working due to a connector issue. If this occurs a red air bag warning lamp would illuminate on the dash to warn the driver." The notice states that you should bring it to the dealer even if the warning light isn't on. I'm bringing her in tomorrow for work.


Did anyone esle get this letter?

I got that same letter in the mail a few weeks ago. The stealership said it would take 2-3 hrs for the job to be done. They have to take out the seats to get to the harness.

 

I got the same letter this week... haven't taken it in yet or scheduled an appointment. I should probably try to schedule that soon.

 

I also got the letter too.. ill bring my G in when i switch to my winter wheels

 

I also received this notice but I swapped out to coupe seats out of an 06 so I guess I'm ok and voided

got mine today . No point of getting it unless your airbag light is flashing though

 

^ wow.... Yea there is no point to make sure your air bags work properly...

It took an hour for me. It was quick.


the 06 coupe seats are still involved nothing is voided, you have the coupe seats, just tell then you have a coupe when you bring it in

 

If theres no airbag light on then your airbag will work and is 100% not defective .Most likely problem can occur over time which is why they will replace it anyway .I guess if they are gonna do it anyway no hurt in doing it . I wonder if they do it for seats with the airbag already replaced like mine . When i got my car i bought a new one and installed it myself . hmmm i wonder if the one i got is a the new recalled one

 

This is nuts, I bought my coupe off the dealership showroom floor new and have never received any notices of recalls....ever. No I haven't moved, so I see no excuse for not receiving notices I should.... Typical Infiniti!
