i wish i have the navi option, but i guess it's not available in hawaii.

 

i get 15-18 mph (usually the bottom end of that)... i drive mostly off freeway... i drive my car pretty fast at least 1 outa 3 times i get in her.... the other night coming home from downtown houston (30 mile drive on the tollroad) i used a quarter tank because i had the throttle to the floor pretty much the whole time unless i was coming up on some traffic... but when i was coming up on traffic i would throw it into 5th so it was still revving pretty high when i didnt have my foot on the gas. When u drive like that.... u cant expect good milage. I keep wanting to test it out over a tank of gas.... where i granny shift and get great gas milage and see what a difference it makes.... i just cant make myself go that long without at least putting it to the floor a few times hah

Pretty disappointing mileage on the G. My 94 Land Cruiser full-time 4wd gets 15 mpg and it takes 87 octane. Feel like a wuss for figuring this into my car buying decision. Kinda sucks because I can't seem to find another car in the 30k range that I can get excited about. Been spending most of my time trying to decide between the 6MT coupe and 6MT sedan. Anyway - great forum, I've been enjoying lurking.

 

one thing a lot of people overlook is tire pressures. I see idiots all over driving on part of their sidewall because they never check the air in their tires. New car/new tires - doesn't matter - check 'em at least once a month. Low tires can severly hurt gas mileage.
