So then you I should use nitrous then? just so i get that extra torque. My nitrous torque will spike my torque over his anywhere. This race is for money so im gonna give it all I got!

our cars are rated at 298 HP with the old SAE horsepower ratings. the 535 is rated at 300 horsepower with the new SAE horsepower ratings which rate the horsepower lower than the old rating does. so technically, the 535 is "underrated". but it should be an interesting race.

also, are you using stock wheels? how are your launches?

The stock VQ35DE dynos at about 230hp and 220-ish lbs/ft of torque. The BMW will probably dyno at 300hp or more so...yea.

but his is not stock. and he has a rev up model so with mods. so he's probably pushing about 260hp to the wheels. 535's push about 270hp to the wheels.

take off all your extra seats, spare tire and everything else else you have in your trunk.. and on race day itself, make sure you have less than 1/4 fuel and oh what the heck, race nude (clothes have weight too right?)... and maybe just maybe you'll loose by a cars length...

You're comparing a BMW's crank horsepower against a G35's wheel horsepower... apples to oranges, my friend.

G35's usually dyno around 225-240 Horsepower at the wheels, and probably have about 265 HP at the crank by the new SAE standard. I bet that BMW puts down about 265 WHP.

I would like to see how this ends. Please post the video after the race! You should race whether you think you will win or lose. Just race!
