Should I buy a G35 TT for sale?

I was wondering if I could have some input on whether or not I should buy this twin turbo G35 with about 25k miles on the car. The install seems to be done very well. I would use it as a daily driver in the summer then store it in the winter. I'm just not sure how reliable it would be because the internals are upgraded (I'm not sure if this is the same but drag cars require that engine components be replaced every so many thousand miles). I know it wouldn't be that extreme but would you say it would be about as reliable as a stock G35? I don't want to start having problems a few years down the road with 70k-90k on the odometer for example. (Also, I'm not going to race the car.) Also, another question of mine would be servicing the car. Basic things I can do or I can have my buddy who works on my cars. However, with the turbo setup I don't know what problems (if any) people have with them.

Essentially, I'm just wondering if you would suggest me getting the car to drive in the summer (maybe 6,000 miles a season) as a reliable daily driver. People that have more experience with TT G35's would have a better idea of what I would be getting myself into...either a car that performs like a new corvette but is practical enough to be a daily driver..or something that I will have to take to a tuning shop periodically to be worked on. I'm just being cautious before making a rash decision by buying the car and then regretting it later on.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it.

After I read the first sentence of your post I was automatically thinking no. Typically buying a aftermarket TT car, it comes with plenty of problems. But holy **** this guy did EVERYTHING right. Everything is authentic, built motor, gorgeous paint, low miles, this is a ridiculously good price. GTM has great built motors, and that alone minimizes potential problems in the future, not entirely but significantly. In my extremely honest opinion, this is a mother f*cking steal. I would be crying If I was this guy. He is basically biting the bullet and losing over 50k. His loss your gain. I would seriously consider this car, but regardless USE DISCRETION! Let us know if you do decide to pick this car up! Good luck!!!

the general rule of thumb is - if its an engine/drivetrain mod that wasnt factory a lot of the time you will end up doing maintenance on them far more often than if stock. & i believe this is especially true when going from non turbo to turbo or even TT. but i dont personally know from experience but this is what ive heard from guys at the track, events, even older age (50ish range). so i would trust enough it enough to have a mechanic who specializes or work on vehicles like this one - SHES A BEAUTY THO!! built very tastefully!

Wow I wish I had seen that b4 I got mine. I paid 19,000 for an 07 with 40k miles on it. Thats an awesome deal everythings already done and done tastefully at that. Its rare to see a twin turbo on ebay built that well and not beat to isht.

the younger me would be like hell yes. though that me had more time to work on cars, and didn't mind the occasional frustrations.

the now me says buy an 08 g37s... im sad to have said that... tho...

still says yes if you have a separate daily driver
still says yes if you plan to track it
still says yes if you have that kind of money to get additional work done on it. or that mechanic friend that can do it for u.

I'm really new to the g scene, but I had a built motor in my Subaru. From my understanding forged internals motors have around a 50k mile life span.
