well i just got into an accident. i have some question, if insurance is paying for since its the other driver fault.

im wondering if i can ask the Shop that suppose to repair my car get me aftermarket parts instead of Oem part like front and side?

 

Once you've been given an estimate and there insurance has approved your G being fixed there's no reason why you couldn't use aftermarket parts. But this will be between you and the body shop, be ready with all the information and prices....Good Luck!

haha THANKS alot ur a life saver. Yeah i was thinking about that too but i wasnt so sure about it. But are you positive tho? what u mean ready with the information and prices?

 

I think he means know what you want, where to buy it from, how much it costs, how long it'll take for you to get your parts, etc etc. Once the insurance company okays the estimate they essentially give the shop a budget of how much they'll pay for so know that amount when you're making your choices.
