Disconnecting battery. How long is safe?

I read somewhere that if the vehicle does not have power for a certain amount of time a lot of the sensors need to be re-learned. How long is that time?

A better question would be how long you intend to leave your battery disconnected?

I've had mine out of the car for two days with only minimal adjustment. I don't know which "sensors" you're speaking of.

If I remember correctly (it's been a while) I lost clock, seat presets, radio stations.. That was it I think.

Im not sure but I had my battery disconnected from the car for about a month and a half while I was away. It started right back up after I reconnected it. But I left it running for 20mins after I came back to warm up.

A few hours will not cause you a problem. Go for it.

If you mean the supposed relearning your driving style I think some people say a couple of hours and others say a day...

I always disconnect my battery for the winter because I don't drive it.I'll have it disconnect for about a few months at a time.everything will reset radio, milage not the milage on the car just the milage on your A and B trip.I've never had a problem with it.I'll start it up every week just to get everything running for about 5-10 minutes.

2one8, you must have understood by now leaving your battery disconnected will not hurt anything other than clock and radio station reset....happy trails.

I had it disconnected for a few hours and its running fine.

this is where I read about disconnecting the battery...

"Whenever the throttle actuator is replaced, disconnected or the battery is disconnected for a certain period of time, this electronic throttle module will either need to be recalibrated or relearned in order to keep the idle speed at a specific range."

If you leave your battery disconnected for more than 13.4 minutes your vehicle is likely to explode.
