I raced my cousing in his G sedan with ztube and intake from 0 to like 70 we were neck and neck.
O yea and i was driving 04 maxima.
i think cars with like 1 second apart to 60 can be neck and neck depending on driver, condition, gas octane, 10000 other factors. at least u didnt have civic right next to u, so dont be shoked.

anything can happen in scenarios like this. I was neck and neck with a new Mustang GT last night through1st gear into 2nd up to @ 45 MPH where we cut it off because of surface conditions (at the umm... ahem..."track")... he was manual.
