Should car be ok?

I was driving when the compressor belt snapped the car made a horrendous noise. i turned the car off and puled over. can any damaged be cause do to the belt snapping while driving?

Was the a/c on or not?

I wouldnt think the belt would cause harm other then lil pieces that could have got into something. I would check all the other belts for wear and tear and possible damage from the other belt.

i wouldnt think itd hurt much if it snapped......normally they just fall down and whatnot. unless it got caught in the other belt on a pulley or soemthing. take some pix of what it looks like lol

As long as you don't have any leaks, you're good to go. From now on pay better attention to the condition of your belts, cracked or frayed replace 'em.

Yeah, check to make sure the belt didn't damage anything when it snapped. If there is no damage you should be fine. Just replace the belt.
