Question about Auto trans behavior
Question about Auto trans behavior
Sometimes when making a turn, I just kick a little extra throttle to slide the rear out for fun, the revs spool up and I get my few degrees of slide, and then wish to return to regular driving. This is in Auto, with stability protection on. My problem comes in during the recovery to normal driving. The gearis always wrong during recovery (low and wanting to still rev) and hard to get back on track. I know one solution would be to just select manual for this, but is it normal for the trans to act like this?
BTW, I have a 2006 G35 Coupe.

This is what I figured I would be reading lol.
This car is definetely meant for maniacs, and I'm not ashamed of that. Just thought it would fake being a luxury Infinity when needed.

nah nah man, 'maniac mode' has been used on here a bunch. basically, when you start pushing the car, the ecu & tcm realize you want to drive aggressively so they adjust. conversely, if you drive like a grandma then the car will be very civil.
the car kinda senses when you want to be more aggressive. i wish i could give you a better answer, but it ultimately comes down to getting comfortable with your car. alternatively, keep it in manual mode and it will always perform the way you want it to (maniac or grandma).
