2005 G35 auto coupe PICTURES in No CA

I took these pictures of an Athens Blue coupe on the lot. It has been there for 4 days now but finally got a chance to post pictures. I would say to all those who have comments on the 19" wheels to reserve judgement untill you have actually SEEN them. The pictures really do not bring out the 3-dimensional characteristics of the wheel which make it look better in person. Enjoy...

Front wheels and brakes. RIP Brembo's. We'll have to see how the 60-0 and 70-0 breaking stats compare to the '04's when the auto magazines test it.

Back view. The rims actually poke out a bit relative to tires, looks like they could get hit with curb rash fairly easily. I prefer the tucked in look which is the opposite of the stretched tire look. I wonder if a set of 275/35/19 tires would "protect" these rims better.
Edited by hensta on 10/22/04 08:03 PM.

Nice pics! Strange how Roseville didn't even take the protective film off yet. At Elk Grove, I was able to even get in one and touch all the buttons. Plus all of the protective film was off on all of their 05. I might be heading up to Roseville tomorrow though, I hope they will be able to show it in the showroom. I heard over the phone that they wasn't selling them yet until they get word from Infiniti, which I think its just pure BS. I need to invest in a nice dig cam..hehe =) I will take more pics tomorrow if I get a chance.

Two things missing on the last shot that should be there are the intelligent key and Bluetooth capability. With our luck they'll add them next year after we've bought our '05. Oh well, can't keep holding our breath.

your pics of the 19's look much better than infinitis pics. you can really see the polished finish. its approx $700 MSRP difference between the 18" upgrade and the 19" upgrade...tempting!

Re: G35 coupe PICTURES in No CA

$700 difference doesn't just equal the wheels.. you get the sport tuned suspension, aluminum pedals, different steering wheel... and also you can get the aero packages only with the sport suspension package...

Re: G35 coupe PICTURES in No CA

I still think the new 19's are ugly. Don't get me wrong I am a huge fan of split spoke wheels (HRE 547's are still my all time fav), but on the new wheels they gapped the pairs so much that they barely look like pairs. It's more of a geometric look and IMO the pattern is just too busy and looks odd on this car.

Re: 2005 G35 auto coupe PICTURES in No CA

Thanks for the pics.....I think Infiniti did a good job on making the subtle changes for 2005.......At first I didn't like the new wheels, but I honestly can say they suit the car very well......
I'm sure like all of us 03-04 owners, their will be many who just upgrade to better wheels and tires anyway.

I am surprised they did away with the Michelin Pilots....I had bridgestone potenza's on a couple of my other cars and wasn't too impressed with there wet handling capabilities.....

Overall, I think the new 05's will carry on the marque for Infiniti quite well....now, what do the dealers do with all those left over 04's?
