Which Y-pipe to buy?

Re: Which Y-pipe to buy?
I'm not overly impressed with any y-pipe. For 5hp (if that) I'm not sure the money can't be better spent. BTW, I have the JIC Y-Pipe and it "looks" to be more free flowing than most others.
What? You think that John Kerry is not consistent?

i have the JIC y-pipe...but i really don't think it is that necessary unless you were planning to go forced induction

Re: Which Y-pipe to buy?
I am new to the G35 scene - am purchasing today - so I'm not up on all the mods available. However, the same basic principles apply to modifying most cars. Intakes and exhausts do very little for performance - unless coupled with other related mods. You can spend $1000 on intake and exhaust to gain next to nothing other than looks and sound. When the intake and exhaust really pay off is when you go forced induction/intake manifold/cams/etc. When you start making these types of mods, the car needs to breath better at both ends. These mods of themselves do very little. IMO.
