What percentage lose is expected on performance pa

What is the average percentage lose on the cost of performance parts when you try to sell your car?
I am aware many times people have to sell for financial reasons, but on average what is the expected percentage discount on performance parts?
I just heard skidazzle sold is Blue Customt JoTech TT 350 Z. I have not seen what he sold it for, but I know he had a ton of cash in that ride.
Take your average 2003 Loaded G35 with 14,000 miles (Nav, Performance 18" wheels, etc) add Greddy TT Kit, custom exhaust. You will have a cost of at least $ 45,000.00
Now a average 2003 G35 stock is selling for $ 32,000.00, do you lose 50% of the performance parts & sounds system?

Re: What percentage lose is expected on performance pa

I would assume it depends on the number of buyers. Unfortunately, not everyone is car crazy and the mods actually decrease the number of peeps interested in the cars. Not to mention the money spent to customize a car is just that, custom.... as per owners taste which isn't the masses taste. So now you go from a large pool of peeps who want a G35 coupe, narrow down for color and options....then narrow further for mods and the fact that performance mods may indicate the car was driven hard etc. (at least in the minds of non-car enthusiasts who may think it was not well taken care of, in most instances a would say a person who mods takes better care of the car). Anyway, as the saying goes, there is an a$$ for every seat. If someone is looking to sell a G with TT he/she can either wait longer to sell and try and get a higher amount, or keep reducing the price until some buys it. Basically it's about timing. Ideally, if you modded the hell out of your car, you want someone to approach you to buy it (probably get the best $$).
To answer your question, I think the percentage loss of add-ons is relative to which add-ons and how many people would actually want them. Think of it this way, what would you be willing to pay for a used G with those mods? That basically sets the price! lol

i would say 50 % is about right with the right people..

remember, your doing all this stuff to the engine.. most people like to either do it themselfs or not even touch it at all..

MOST people like asthetics . they like RIMZ, body kit, drop.. sound system.. dvd .. what not..

from what i have seen.. you can sell your car much faster and lose less money with the asthetics route rathter than the internal modifaction route ( FI ) ..

i know.. my last ride was kinda like what you described.. but it had everything else on it too.. inside and out..

i eventually had to sell the parts off and then sell the car stock.. PAIN IN THE FOOKN ***.. but now i got baby G and happy

realisticly.. after my experience and part out process of my last ride.. i plan to only do things such as DROP, RIMZ, TINT, GRILL,LIP, and TIP .. these things to me are a lot easier to work with ..

ofcourse i would love to add FI .. but my next car wont need it..
