Same here. I have an oil leak of some sort and i had 3 stealerships take a look and 2 bigotires too. Upper oil pan is just shy of pulling the motor to replace so im just living with it. I leak maybe a half dollar size amount of oil only on cold starts.

I was quoted $1100, $1325, and $1078 to replace the upper gasket/rtv. Shopping around is a good idea but regardless the labor involved is redonkulous.

Quote: Where exactely is it? I was just going thru the 2003 Service Manual and can't figure out where it might be. The manual shows the traditional oil pan and then on top of that a baffle and then the block. I'm really interested in where it's located. Thanks!!
here you go - item #2

the oil pan in our cars is 2 piece the upper is a big piece that looks like its part of the block that your oil filter actually bolts to and then theres the small square bllack piece that we usually upgrade. also the bushing in the rear that they said is leaking you cant buy just the bushing i tried you have to replace it with solid bushings it the only other option. i was thinking about making urethane bushings but i dont know if it would have enough interest and be worth while.
