Just purchased a G35...

New to the board a just wanted to say hi to everyone..great place you have here.

2005 G35 AT5 62,045mi $15,200

Lovely vehicle but Ive seem to already encounter a problem. I have done numerous searches on this site but couldnt seem to exactly find the answer. This is what I'm experiencing:

The passenger side door has started making rattling noises. Its something in the interior of the door. I believe it has something to do with the window because the window makes a creaking noise when going over bumps...like its not tightly rolled up. It makes these rattling noises whether the window is up or down. The windows function properly, with no problems going up or down. And ever since I started hearing this sound, when I roll down the window I hear a slight scraping sound...like the window is being supported correctly.

Do you think motor has gone bad? Would that cause the rattling in the door? Maybe the interior window frame is loose? Just need to tighten some bolts?

If anyone has encountered anything similar or anyone with some knowledge, could you please chime in on this thread about your experience. Thanks!

First I would like to say Welcome to the Forum!!

2) It sounds like the interior window frame is loose and yes you probably just need to remove the interior door panel and tighten up the screws. The window motor sounds like its fine if the glass moves fine.

Yep, I agree. It sounds like the window frame is loose.

I had the same problem, except that my window motor was burnt out as well. It's a pretty easy fix thankfully.
