^Good luck man. In my tire size the Conti's ran me about $550 shipped with a free GPS. Not a bad deal at all.

I can't comment on Kansas City, but up here in Fargo and even Minneapolis, snow tires are a must. Those few days where a lot of snow falls, it makes up for it. I NEVER want to drive in snow again without snow tires. They are just phenomenal in the snow. Stops on a dime, accelerates like a beast, and turns as if the road were dry. It really does make THAT big of a difference.
I hear ya. If I lived up there, I too would have snow tires. That's a no-brainer for sure. Here in Kansas City, snow is cleared off the roads within 6 hours and it's rare we get more than 4" in a storm.

I'm getting AutoSocks for Christmas (http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...k/autosock.jsp). They'll be good for those rare storms we get.

Ok, since this thread finally is calm down...

I love my Blizzaks. I drove all seasons for 3 years and had no issues...but once I went Blizzaks, I will never go back! hahahahaa

Having summer like grip in the winter on dry pavement, the ability to control your vehicle in ice, snow and sleet is priceless when you are driving a high quality ride like ours.

I got Blizzak ws60's and they are amazing. Even in over a foot of snow I didn't get stuck.

I live in Columbia Mo and let me tell you for a college town they suck at clearing the roads. I am still using my summer tires and I have yet to have an issue, now if i was at home in Chicago it would be a different story.

Just take it slow or else your car will become a sled.

And for the record if you have been around internet forums before, you should know better then to argue with senior members. Yeah, i get tired of peering through threads telling everyone to search but if you go back a few pages chances are you'll find what you're looking for. And I'd also say 99 times out of 100 the people that get upset about people telling them to search are kids (teens and early 20's). I'm 20, so i fall into that catagory but i also carry myslef like an adult at home and on the forums and that's what earns you respect... And you got your answer anyways.

TL;DR

Summer tires are drivable in missouri winters...
stop starting arguments when people tell you to search. Someone will always say it, so deal with it.

I thought about getting chains a couple weeks ago when it snowed in alabama, i couldnt go anywhere hardly. not worth me buying snow tires because it MIGHT snow like twice a winter, but when it does, i just stay at home :[

I don't know if there is a type of chain that would accomodate our low profile tires. They might have an adverse affect on the wheel.

Yeah my G had Toyo Proxe T1-R and if there was a cm of snow I wasn't going anywhere. I have a truck though so I drive that in the winter but my buddy has a 350z and he bight some snow tires to put on his stock wheels and he drives through snow just fine, up hills and all without a problem.
