Infiniti pricing strategy

Infiniti pricing strategy
First post here, and planning to buy an 05 when they hit the Seattle market. Of course the dealer is willing to work a deal on an 04.
My question is this (and I know there are exceptions): Given that the G35 Coupe has been around awhile (despite the forthcoming updates in 05), does Infiniti have a policy around pricing and discounting? In general, many of the lux / near lux car makers won't discount below MSRP, but does Infiniti follow this in their dealerships (I've never purchased one of their cars).
My thought is I'll wait until the dealer has a fair allotment of the cars I want (like they do now with the 04s) and then work my best deal from invoice upwards. Do you think they'll be willing to strike a deal below MSRP at that time?
Any thoughts appreciated.

Re: Infiniti pricing strategy
every market is different but if you shop around, you'll get a good price. Try to email internet sales managers to see what they can offer. Once you see what the market is like where you live, you'll have more leverage... For the most part, its not as bad as it was when the G35 first came out, and you'll see dealers discounting aggressively as long as you show them you're an informed consumer...

Re: Infiniti pricing strategy
I put a deposit of $500 on a 6mt. $800 over invoice ~$35,700 (Premium, Nav, Aero w/spoiler, Side moldings, Trunk mat) Your best bet is to deal with a larger dealership, they have more "room to work with" on pricing. When you order (through a internet sales manager) the '05's don't have lot costs, advertising, and commissions attached (for most dealerships). The car is shipped and sold. The longer it sits, the more "cost" it takes to sell that car. This however depends on the dealer.
