Amp and subs installed, now hesitation on start-up?

if his amp wasnt grounded it would turn on, if it wont turn on it wont use power, if it wont use power it CANT drain the battery. so i dont know what your trying to say but what you said makes not a bit of sense.

As I said before though, I've left the amp disconnected since this problem began. This morning, I turned the key and it cranked for less than half a second. I held the key on "start" and a couple seconds later it cranked for another .half a second. Tried a second time after leaving the ignition on for a few seconds and it started right up. My vote is still for relay or starter motor... will find out this week once an electrician gets here and fixes our lift.
