Amp and subs installed, now hesitation on start-up?

Yeah a non-grounded amp doesn't do much except take up trunk space, much like a fat girl.

As I said before though, I've left the amp disconnected since this problem began. This morning, I turned the key and it cranked for less than half a second. I held the key on "start" and a couple seconds later it cranked for another .half a second. Tried a second time after leaving the ignition on for a few seconds and it started right up. My vote is still for relay or starter motor... will find out this week once an electrician gets here and fixes our lift.
