Are you trying to use auxilary and play songs on your iphone through the stock radio? If so, I have an 06 G w/o navi and used aPAC-NIS1 and works great. I had them install the aux cord through the compartment where the navi should be so I can set the iphone in there. It works great and cost me 240 parts and labor.

I wondered this two. I saw a few posts from members who installed the pac nis and the volume dropped significantly. I currently am playing my iphone 4 through an FM transmitter and when I plug it in, the volume is super low and usually keep it around 24-27 for normal driving conditions while the AM/FM and CD volume would be almost blaring at that volume. Is this an installer issue or the actual part issue?
Also, does the GROM iPod integration work just as well?

^ I did not notice any difference in the volume of the songs, both in am/fm, aux, etc... About the pros and cons of pac a nissan, I would think that going the pac route would be the cheaper route since aftermarket tend to be cheaper than geniune parts themsleves. As far as the quality between the two I could not tell you the difference because I have not encountered the Nissan intergration... All I can say is that I am happy with pac since I can play my tunes from my iphone using the stock radio...

I have the stock Nissan one installed....equal quality to your Inifiniti.
It uses the docking station style plug and can charge your iPod.
It can show song titles & artists on the radio screen with a few button presses and has some control capability through the steering wheel switches.
I got mine about 4 years ago when they 1st released for just less than $200.
