is the padding replacable?

 

i have the same problem.... but it looks like the previous owner went ahead and tinted the windows before wiping the grease off!!!

 

I have the same problem just on my passenger door window. I do not think the padding is replaceable by itself. I believe the padding is actually part of either the door lock motor actuator or the window motor actuator. I suppose you could just take some felt adhesive tape material and cut it to fit.

 

you can try Goo Gone from Home Depot. It works wonders

 

i have the same thing but on my driver side window something actually scratched the glass.. i can take my finger nail to it and it would get stuck in the grove
