I know there has been post about the steering wheel squeak ing but none seem to help.
My steering wheel started to squeak yesterday day out of nowhere. It only squeaks when I turn my wheel left and right. I checked the fluid and it's fine, but I don't know what else do I check? Any help guys?

 

It doesn't squeak when you turn it up and down?


Are you saying it is the actual steering wheel squeaking, or something else when you turn?

 

It may not be your actual steering wheel making the squeak, it's possible your rack has leaked and run dry making the noise you're hearing.

Lol, and yes it's the steering wheel squeaking when I turn a corner all you is a squeak.

I guess it may be that. I just don't know how to check.

 

Word, mine just started squeaking last week. It's a rubbery squeak inside the cabin so I don't think it has anything to do with the rack. Plus the underside of my car is bone dry with no fluid leaks whatsoever.

I'm going to take a look at it this weekend and see if I can pinpoinnt the issue.

 

Yeah but the weird thing is that it stops after I drive my car for a while? Should I worry about it that much?
