I notice each time when i roll down my window both passenger and driver side, when i roll it back up after a drive there's this line going straight down with grease type stain on it. It's getting annoying cuz each time i have to wipe it off. Does anyone else have this problem? I had the exact same problem with my old 350Z and on the same spot also

It's a problem with all the 03 Gs. The dealer would fix it when the cars were under warranty. You can fix it yourself by removing the door panel and the metal cover inside the door panel. (a lot of work) Unfortunately, it doesn't go away. I've owned my 03 since Dec 02 and every time I lower and raise the window...it's back. I just wipe it off and forget about it.

The culprit is a very small peice of padding. Which we all know by now is covered with grease. You've got two options here... tear the door apart and fix it, or live with it and every time it streaks the window wipe it off. Cheaper and much more cost effective.

im actually thinking about getting my windows tinted. if i do, then they will need to take off the door panels while at it i can ask them to clean the padding. I've been going to that shop a lot so im sure they can fix it free of charge.

This is weird, I've never noticed this problem and I have an '03 coupe built in 10/2002. Maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention.

This is also a common problem with Lexuses too, I had to clean my IS350 today and my uncle's ES330 and my aunt's RX350 all suffer from streaky windows.

Its a felt pad that gets worn down and grease builds up on the track. My 97 Caddy STS did the same thing.

it's such an annoying problem. Everytime i clean the window, all i have to do is rolled it down once and the grease stain is back. I just gave up and leave my windows rolled up all the time now
