Frustrated with Dealership

Hey everyone,

What would you all do if in my situation? Well I purchased an 04 G35 6MT from this dealership. Car had about 97k miles car was pretty loaded but the selling point for me was the salesman told me that they did 100k service on it and replaced the clutch. But before leaving the dealership I forgot ask for a copy of the service records and have been contacting them about the paper work. Still nothing... I purchased the car 2 months ago and now I hear the throwout bearing making noise. So I called the dealer and the salesmen who sold me the car I asked him to fax me the service paper work and the paperwork stating that the clutch has been replaced. I still have not gotten anything from them not even a phone call. I'm getting to a point where I'm going to take the car back to dealer and have them do what they said they did... I'm getting really pissed about this...

^Exactly. Sounds to me like they are just hoping you let it go/forget about it. I thought these cars main service intervals were every 30k (30k, 60k, 90k, 120k)?

You must be new taking the word of a salesman. You need to meet with him in person to get the documentation you need, if it exists. I wouldn't be surprised if your G35 doesn't have a new clutch and throw out bearing. Sounds like saleman spiel, telling you what you want to hear.
Good Luck!
Gary

Frustrated with Dealership
^Welcome to the club

Either call or go to another dealership and have them bring up the maintenance history for your VIN, they will tell you wether its been done or not. If the salesman lied, I would get his info and call the HQ of Infiniti to report what happened.

It seems like everyone is getting Frustrated w/ the Dealers. Is there a good Dealership around that does take and treat their customers?

You can go to any dealer for service history. Just pull up to the service deparment and ask for service history. Its that easy.

Yeah man you def. gotta see all that before the car is purchased. I learned when buying truck, a salesman will tell you ANYTHING to make a sale or even get you in the dealership. I called a dealership and they said they had 2 of the truck I was looking for but when I got there one of them had to be sold and the other was something I didn't want and the guy tried to sell me that, I was pissed.

Thanks Guys... I finally got the service papers but when looking at it it just should basic work oil change, brakes pads replaced rotors resurfaced, and battery replaced. But thats it I'm still waiting for paper work on the clutch replacement. Got another excuss on that one. Crazy part was I told him I had a clutch issue about a week ago when I came back from a 2 week vacation. Clutch was stuck on the floor we had to bleed it to get it out... Weird part after reading the service record it stated on it but back in july of last year before I bought it... Another reason for me to be pissed...

We like to think of ourselves as a very customer-friendly dealership.

DaD, when the clutch pedal is on the floor that's not really the clutch itself but the "clutch cylinder!" When the plunger inside wears out and allows fluid to pass by the pedal will drop to the floor. You should have been able to reach down and pull it back up....did you try that? Only fix is to replace it. Hope you get the information from the stealership about the clutch replacement....
