That about answers your question...My 19s are the same. Basically the rims are shot. YOull be able to get some of the black spots off and get them shiny but theyll have a spotty haze on them unless you get them powdercoated/redone.

Powerball or mini-powerball and Mother's Aluminum polish. Elbow grease is way over-rated. Power tools are the new 'elbow grease'.

It will do in minutes what would normally take hours with better results and less mess.

Wheel acid and a tooth brush....

*I have owned my own detail shop for over 10 years. Get you some wheel acid, make sure the rims are cold (not hot from driving). Wash them, then spray them with wheel acid and take the tooth brush to them. One wheel at a time...

Some wheel acid will take it right off... It takes years of brake dust off that nothing else will take off.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong!!! I can't believe there's so much misinformation on this site sometimes.

Unfortunately other than having your wheels refinished you are stuck with the spotting. Our stock wheels are infamous for this issue. Something gets under the clear and etches these spots into the finish of your rims. It could come from a variety of sources. Once you get the spots, they will not go away from traditional cleaning methods. It's frustrating too because it doesn't leave issues with the clear and you can't feel anything if you run your fingers over the spot. The wheel will still feel perfectly smooth.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news TxJeeper. Search through the Care and detailing section for more information on this issue.
