The spacer was designed to correct Nissan's design error where the two front ports don't receive same air distribution. That 5/16" space makes all the difference which you should easily feel....Gary

So I'm looking into the mrev2... I have an 04 coupe, do I have a vq35rev up or a vq35de non rev up? Anything negative about them besides the price of just under $500? My crawford upper plenum was $400... lol almost $1000 for like 30hp?

The MREV2 is a re-machined lower plenum from a non-revup, installing it on your car won't really do much since they were designed to replace the lower plenums on the rev-ups.

Ya it sounds like it wont do much for my car. Lol headers, intake, exhaust, programmer, upper & lower plenum upgrades is about the end of what I can think of. Id like to find a dyno...

A lot of people will tell you to just do a search, but I am too passionate about this product to not talk it up a bit! I wasn't expecting much of a difference but man!! Its the low end torque that is mostly noticeable. I'll pretty much always hop forward off the line now even against cars like RS4's, though they quickly pass me and generally probably dont know how to launch their cars anyways.

Surprisingly though -especially seeing how this was of no concern to me before - the change in the cabin sound is what I love the most about this mod! Prior to the installation when the car rev'd up, although the exhaust sounded great, the engine reminded me of my VTEC lol! Since installing the MREV2 the main response I have gotten is that my car sounds like a jet from inside the cabin. At low RPM's its deep and growly, and at high RPMs it sings like an angel. The feeling of driving when coupled with that sound makes the ride twice as exhilarating.

Since I joined G35 Driver in 2005 Motordynes spacers have always been know as, "Best Bang for your Buck!" All breather mods combined with a Osiris tune will net you large RWHP and torque, which makes our coupes/sedans more fun to drive!

Ya I'm still going to get the mrev2... might as well. Did most of you guys install it yourself? I feel like it'll be a nice compliment to the other add ons. It already sounds cool but I'm sure it'll sound even better. Too bad I didn't buy a newer model with the rev up. I miss turbo. I had an audi tt 225 wih the giac flash before my G. I like the look of the G much better but turbo is sweet.

I did just the spacer tonight and man I felt a good difference and like Canadian guy said the sound is just heavenly. I did just the 5/16 iso thermal spacer and it was very simple to install. Takes a few hours to do so but worth it all the same. I do have one question what's up with the little valve they send for the throttle boday and do I only have to have it on when it's less than 55 degrees

The valve allows hot engine coolant to bypass the TB. It only needs to be open if the weather is well below freezing.

I bought both mine used, it was the best bang for the buck I spent on motor mods. Intakes are crap, the Rev Up intake is just as good as any out there.

The best bang for the buck was my Hotchkis sway bars and Tokico d-specs.

I had a 1/2" spacer and I shaved down the two front runners, I lost low end tq. I put the 5/16" spacer on and my low end tq came back w/ a vengeance. l also added xyz pipe so that helped to.

If you don't have the HR (twin intake) motor (can't remember when it started), just get the spacer. The MREV2 is only for the Rev-Up motors (2005-2006) and wont do you any good.
