Motordyne plenum spacer

I would like to know, does anyone notice the changes after installing the spacers? also would it be a good idea to get the thermal 5/16 spacers for 2005 G35 coupe rev up engine? thanks in advance

the mrev 2 is the lower plenum piece but coupling that with a spacer is going to retain the highest potential gains its like going from to

I got the spacer installed before the mrev2 and I didnt really felt any difference other than the sound. Once you get the mrev2 is a totally different story.

If you have a G35 6MT with a REVUP motor MotorDynes MREV2 combined with the 5/16" spacer will bump your HP 18+! With the exception of forced induction it doesn't get any better than that with bolt ons. This is a HP increase you can feel! Yes, there have been numerous threads on the subject!

What is the difference between the copper 5/16" iso thermal and the regular 5/16" iso thermal?

The iso thermal uses a gasket that blocks heat from transferring from the engine to the intake manifold as well as a valve that can shut-off the hot coolant that goes to the manifold and throttle body. The copper adds a throttle body warmer to "keep your upper and lower plenum cooled without the risk of throttle body freezing when driving in cold weather. Use the Copper if it snows in your area."

Our VQ engines love cool air/weather so the copper is a good idea regardless of where you live.... One of the best places to get MotorDynes MREV2 & 5/16" spacer ISO is from our Riverside Infiniti sponsor 800-919-8130 ask for Rick in parts!

I just bought the isothermal instead of the copper. I live in NY where it snows but my G will only see the garage during the winter. The throttle body probably wont freeze unless I'm driving it right?

So as I previously posted, I ordered the isothermal 5/16. I'm wondering if it'll be a waste. I'm asking because I already have a crawford plenum. According to crawfords website, the stock infiniti slanted plenum restricted airflow to the front cylinders. The crawford plenum is supposed to allow equal airflow to all the cylinders. I assume that the spacer is designed to help with the restricted airflow problem along with keeping the plenum cooler for colder more dense air.

I'm also interested in getting the mrev2 but I wont know if I already have it untill I go to put the spacer in. This car already came with chrome headers, a borla exhaust and the crawford plenum so who knowsif it has the mrev2 underneath.

lol its a waste. The spacer was designed to fix the issue with the STOCK plenum.

You should have researched this question before you ordered the spacer. send it back and get a refund, it won't do shizz with your plenum.

Ya. The funny thing is that when I did research it on motordynes website it didn't say anything about restricted airflow to the front cylinders. All it talked about was thermal talk, hot and cold... nothing about a poor plenum design.
