Ridiculous Customer Service

i live in so cal in the torrance area. the only infiniti dealer in my area is peyton cramer, south bay, torrance infiniti. whatever you want to call it. i just want to say that their service was crap. the salesman treated my family and me with such disrespect and impatience. we all know how shady car salesmen can be already, but with added snobbiness? who needs that from a dealership? whatever happened to good customer service? anyways, i don't know why, but we ordered the coupe from their dealership and put down a deposit for it. the salesman tells us the car will be in in jan and that they would keep our deposit on file until we received our car (meaning that they wouldn't cash it). a couple weeks later, we find out that the dealership cashed the check. wtf. we call them and asked them what was going on. they tell us that they always cash the deposits. ....right. even if that was their procedure on all deposits, they could have at least told us straight up. so anyways, moving on. january rolls around. no check up call or anything from the salesman. we decide to call them and ask them what's up with our car. they say "oh, there's a delay, the car will be here in feb. so we wait another month and again, no call from the guy. we call again, and this was his response. "it's still not in. it'll be in by march." okay... i anonymously found out that my car actually did come in in feb, but got sold to what was most likely a higher bidder. wtf. so we decide to keep our patience and wait another month until march. march rolls by, and still nothing. so we call... again... to see what's up. the guy tells us that the car is still not there and won't be there until june. that was the last straw. we yelled at them over the phone, and the dealer ended up tells us that "they don't need to take this over the phone." after all that lying and disrespect from them, who wouldn't be angry? then they offered to give us our deposit back, meaning that they would take us off of the waiting list. we decline and tell them to keep it, cuz we still want the car. if we took our deposit back, we would have to go somewhere else and go through the same bullshit over again. and guess what. the next week, we get our deposit back in the mail... after we specifically told them not to give it back to us. this is the biggest bullshit i've ever had to deal with at a car dealership. the most disrespectful salesman working at a completely incompetent dealership.

now i have to go somewhere else to find my coupe. i've been waiting since november and was put under the impression that i would have my car by, the latest, february. it's already mid-april and i still don't have a damn thing. don't get me wrong, i can wait for my car. that is not the problem. it's the ridiculously poor customer service that we received at peyton cramer infiniti that makes me angry. i just wanted to share this story with you guys and advise anyone who lives in my area not to buy cars from that particular dealership. you'd much rather go somewhere else where you won't be treated like crap.

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service

Call 800-662-6200, the Infiniti consumer service line, and share your story with them. Just be calm and factual, as this is Infiniti direct, and not the dealership that's giving you crap. They probably won't be able to do much for you, but I'm sure they'll ding that dealership's satisfaction ratings -- and that's a big thing in luxury marquee's. There's no excuse for that kind of incompetent treatment.

Who knows, maybe they can help speed up the process through another dealership as well.

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service

That's horrible! Well since you're going to be looking around, don't worry about having to go a bit of a distance. Back in January, I was planning on putting down a deposit for my car. I shopped around, looked at Discover Infiniti in San Diego county and none of them would take an order, saying that they were back ordered or something like that. I then was referred to Tustin Infiniti by another member on this site. I called to see about ordering my car (had to leave a message), The next day a salesman called me (his name was chuck Harris) and told me that they had a Coupe with all the options and the color that I wanted coming in by Feb 1st. So I went over that weekend to give my deposit, and the very next weekend Jan 18th, I took delivery of my car. Everything went O.K. aside from them taking awhile with my paper work and having to have the car towed 68 miles to my house so I could save some money. Just wanted share something, Just shop around and maybe you'll find what you want sooner than you think. Good luck.

I got shaftwed by them too. I live in the torrance area as well, and the dicks didnt want to sell me the for for less than 3000 over sticker. I told him to shove it. I offered 500 over, but they didnt want to sell it. I ended up buying it from Palm springs infniti the very next day for 500 below sticker.

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service

When I was looking around for dealerships, I tried Peyton Cramer Infiniti. You are totally right, they are just rude and disrespectful. So I hunted around for coupes and ended up speaking to Bill Favini at Joe Macpherson infiniti in Tustin. He was very nice and got me a car for May Production (so Late June delivery). I left a deposit and walked away with an order confirmation sheet (order number and car specs).

Since then I have received calls from other dealers with cars speced to my liking, however, since I received such great service from JM Infiniti, I am going to wait for the car through them.

I know it is a bit far away for you In Torrance, but give them a try. Stay away from Cerritos Infiniti. They are a step up from Peyton Cramer, but do not have great Customer Service.

Mike.

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service

Sorry man that is pathetic. Infiniti customer service in my view is pathetic on a whole. I have had nothing but problems with my dealership Cerritos Infiniti. The funny thing is that when I was looking I called that Torrance dealership.

They were total snobs over the phone and I didn't even bother since they sounded like morons. I figured Cerritos would be differant and at least the Sales staff was pleasant. The Service Dept. has been horrible however and I am kicking myself for not getting a BMW only for that reason.

My recommendation is to call around and see if you can locate a car. I didn't order mine but after hearing so many people getting lied to and screwed around by alot of these dealerships. This has definately affected decision to by another infiniti. I even convinced a friend of mine not to get the FX45 because of that.

I haven't heard too many bad things about the Orange County area dealerships like tustin and mission viejo. I'd say just shop around. I also found out that my brother ordered a DG back in feb. and they have been screwing him around as well. Good luck!

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service

When you do order Ask for an order# for your car after they place the order with Infiniti. That should ensure that your car does'nt get sold at least

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service

While we are complaining aboit customer service......

I am tired of getting an attitude from my sales person everytime i ask about the status of the car, and donr get me wrong as anxious as i am i've only asked about twice in 4 months. Christ if this car didn't sell itself there is no way that I would be buying it from this lady. You would think for the commision that she makes for doing absoultly nothing but writing the order ( and she better hope that came out right ) she would be a little more appreciative for my purchase. I cant even get info on the paperwork process from her being that this is my first new car and I have no clue how it is supposed to work out. All I know is that I know more about the friggin car as well as the ordering process than this lady did and as far as Im concerned I deserve the damn comission for crying out loud but Oh well. Just wanted to vent, thanx.

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service

the salesman's name was karl selzer. yeah and we did talk to the fleet manager. he had nothing better to say to us than the salesman, although he was a little more polite. we've called many different dealerships, but since the model that i want (black/black 6spd) is pretty hard to find, i haven't gotten very many calls back yet. most of the calls that i've gotten also have a rear wing, navi, and rims. all which i don't want. well, i wouldn't mind having navi, but i just don't feel that it is necessary for me. i'm still searching for my car from other dealerships. i just wanted to post on the forum how ridiculous peyton cramer infiniti is, and advise that none of you or your friends buy cars from them.

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service

ryoken, yeah we did call consumer affairs. i'm sure they checked up on what the whole deal was with that particular dealership. peyton cramer probably heard about the complaints. maybe that's why they wanted to give us our deposit back, cuz why would they rescind a sale on a car? makes no sense. i'm still not done with them. they're gonna hear from me for a while. i'm gonna make their dealership look like supreme crap.
