Ridiculous Customer Service
Re: Ridiculous Customer Service
I also reside in Torrance and am planning to check it out in around June when summer hits to try to order my car. God, I can't wait... but if I am treated like crap, I will just get the sales person's buisness card, walk out, come back the next day, talk to the GM, and ask for any other sales person besides the one whose name is on the buisness card. If that fails and the other salesperson is rude as well, I'm finished, I'm going to another dealership... no need to give away my buisness to one dealership when there's so many to choose from! I've heard bad things about the cerritos and thousand oaks dealership as well.
Any one suggest a good salesperson (besides bill) at any other dealerships??

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service
well, i have good news. i just got my car.
bought it today in mission viejo. they were really nice. way better than those jackasses in torrance. i would suggest you try them if it's to your convenience. but for the love of god, don't even bother with peyton cramer.

I sent a link of this thread along with a few other threads to Infiniti consumer affairs. Let's see if they get back to me anytime soon.
G35scINcali: Santa Monica INfiniti treated me very well from beginning to end, i highly suggest them. They even appraised my trade in when i ordered the car, and then gave me the same amount when i traded it in 3 months later.

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service
I tried dealing with Peyton in Torrance. At the time they had the car I wanted, sortof. I told I would come in and buy that car. Before I did that, I said the Price is MSRP right? She nope I have to add a $1000 premium. I was like WTF, you're the only dealer that I know that is charging a premium. She said, that's my offer. Of course I hung up on her. Till today (5 Day's later), she is still leaving me voicemails that they have the car I want. I guess she didn't get the message when I hung up on her.
Re: Ridiculous Customer Service
I bought a G35 coupe two weeks ago after looking for about a month. Here is my take on the dealers I visited:
Miller Infiniti(Van Nuys) - had a huge stock...like 30 cars, but would not let me test drive?!?!?!?! Overall they were friendly, but they would not throw in any extras at all nor would they give me a better interest rate than my credit union. If anyone has any info on their service department, please provide since it is the closest dealer to my house.
Thousand Oaks - High pressure. They would only let me test drive the "owners" g35 sc?!?!?! The salesperson got pissed when I did not wan't to order one and would not tell me when their next shipment would be in. Also, they had $1500+ of dealer added options on virtually every car on the lot. I didn't want those things.
Glendale Infiniti - They completely ignored me when I walked on the lot. I left after 15 minutes.
Santa Monica Infiniti - Nice, friendly, but only 2 G35 SC on the lot.
Torrance Infiniti - Ignored me completely. I left after a few minutes
Tustin Infiniti(Joe Mcpherson Infiniti) - Friendly, helpful, and genuinely concerned about what the customer wants. While I did not end up buying here, I can't say enough about how hard their people worked to get my sale.
Cerritos Infiniti - Same comments as for the Tustin dealership, but it seems like they are a high pressure place. Still, they work hard to get your sale and spend a lot of time with you. They let me test drive a new car. They gave me a better interest rate than my credit union. I was at the dealership for a total of a little over 3 hours due to the amount of time they spent going over the car, contract, etc with me. I can't comment on their service department yet.

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service
You guys that live in large, metropolitan areas actually have some choice...where I live, A) it's a thirty minute drive in to town and B) there's only one Infiniti dealership. Luckily Infiniti of Baton Rouge is a fairly squared away outfit with a well-informed, low-pressure sales staff...I still haven't formed my opinion the service department...
Since we're griping about customer service...be sure to check out this thread about my shafting with McNeil/WeatherTech's customer service
Drive it like I stole it?
Hell...drive it like I'm making payments on it...

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service
My Infiniti dealership in Roswell (GA) has a sign posted that they respect your right to browse without being bothered with a sales pitch. They will say hello and greet you, but they won't put a press to sell unless you ask for it first. I really appreciated that. I test drove 4 G35C's and a Sedan -- no quibbles over that AT ALL. They just threw the keys over and many of the people at the dealership had learned my name even if they weren't dealing with me for the sale. Service has been top notch there. The 'respect' factor has been a big issue to me (I'm 26) and feel like I'm treated with the utmost respect there. Of course, I'm a 'please & thank you' type person, but I think everyone gets that service even if they forget to smile and say thank you :-).
It's a bummer to have a bad experience at any dealership... that's why there's no 350Z in my garage... I couldn't test drive anything unless I purchased it. Of course, they're the ones who told me a G35C was an Altima. Little salesperson balked when I mentioned 'Skyline' and walked off when I told him to look at the 2003 Skyline brochures since he said I was wrong.
!!Jonason!!

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service
I bought mine at Glendale Sage Infiniti, out of 4 sales people i spoke to 2 were great and one was an complete jack *** the other was an idiot (he confused VDC with V-Tech)
Sage is an ok dealer the only thing with them is if they think you have money they are all over your *****, and if they think you are an average joe schmo they will be snobby
but im in sales too and thats just business

Re: Ridiculous Customer Service
Man, after reading all these posts, I think that most of us have the same thing in common... So Cal Infiniti dealers suck a_$$!!!! I live in Northern Cali, but when I was buying my coupe, back in December / January, you couldn't even get one in Northern Cali without waiting 4 months...
So I called some dealerships in So Cal (many of the ones mentioned), and they were ALL D-1@%^eads! I offered to fly down, pick up my car, and drive back, but the motha-f@#$^&s said that I had 24 hrs to get down there or they would sell it.... I tried to say that I only need 48 hrs, in case a flight was f-*()&d up or something, and they said SORRY! F-_^{+k them!
So, I just waited my four months and ordered from a dealership up here, and it is the best thing I ever did because the dealership here (Steven's Creek Infiniti) has amazing customer service and awesome, no pressure sales people. Never had such a good experience with a dealership in my life.
Sorry to hear about all the issues you guys are having or have had. These d-1@3$%d salespeople should be tortured and then shot...
Just an opinion.... And, I LOVE MY CAR!
6speed - black/black - beautiful
People who say that money cannot bring happiness never drove a G35 Sport Coupe!
Edited by merlin on 07/02/03 06:51 PM.
