sure theyre a lot of muscle for what they are but u lost to 2011 BMW 328ci & 2011 VW GTI. LOLz maybe needed a driver mod. especially with 6mt.

but enjoy the evo, bolt on and tune, u wont look back.

I agree... How can a G35 be slower than 328 or GTI stock for stock...

I know it is hard to let all the G drivers to believe. But the reality is 2011 BMW 328ci has only 230HP and still runs 6.2sec at 0-60 according to bmw website ( http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...fications.aspx ) and My 05 G coupe 6MT is 5.7 sec at 0-60. But one is 2011 brand new car and mine is 6 yrs old car.
Please do some reseach on how many wheel horsepower your G making, then you know Nissan is trying to snake.

My Evo now only have intake, downpipe and turbotrix dyno tune, it is already making 315HP at the wheels, close to 400HP on crank. Such a easy HP !!

I just test drove a 07 G and a IS350 yesterday for the wife. The g was a sport and just felt tighter. The IS just felt luxury. I felt like i was in first class on a plane. So my .02 is that the g is more of a sporty good handling. The IS is more of a luxury cruise type car. I was suprised though the IS from the dealer was only 32k and only had 17k on it. He said he would even through in the 100k mile warranty

For luxury, Nissan use cheap material to built your luxury interial. Go find a lexus IS or GS or LS to test drive, you'll know what I'm taking about.
not really, lexus material is about the same as infiniti to me. I drove an is350 before so im not hating or anything. My last car was an E46 M3 and the material was much nicer than lexus and infiniti combine. However i do like the is350 more than the g35 but i ended up getting the g35 because it was much cheaper and has an 6MT available. The is350 on the otherhand is just such a good looking car and the only sedan i've ever liked. If the price range for an is350 and g35 were the same, i would of went for the is350.

to the OP, i can't really picture myself in a evo or sti...they have great power but i can only see high school kids driving them. It looks like an rice rocket from the factory.

Thank you. If you're ever in the market for a new car, definitely check out the 2IS. It'll be different, but in a good way.

You're spot on. Since I have both cars now, the G35 is something I enjoy driving on my local mountain road (Highway 17, a 25-mile stretch that winds through the forest and the mountains connecting San Jose and Santa Cruz). It feels as if its velcroed to the pavement, with stiff steering and the driver feels connected to the road. The IS350 is something like a missile-launcher: incredibly fast in a straight line on highways, but you'll roll off the mountain because its so 'soft'. However, I feel like I'd be thrown out the window when I'm driving the G35, whereas the IS350's suspension is like a pillow: absorbs all bumps and holes, and is incredibly comfortable. I have made an 8 hr. drive from San Francisco to Las Vegas in both vehicles, and within 2.5 hrs my back was stiff and sore from the G35's stiff leather seats and suspension (legitly had to walk around for 10-15 minutes to feel comfy again, hella grandpa status). In comparison, I felt nothing driving four 4.5 hours straight until the first gas fill-up in the IS350- a quick stretch, and I hopped back in to finish the remainder of the trip.

Yeah, there is a lot of complaints on how uncomfortable the G seats are. I was given a Camry loaner because they were out of the G sedan. They very next day, I had to go back because they had a G sedan available, and I was like WTF is this when I drove off. LOL

The Camry seat was more comfortable and the G sedan had a horrible acceleration lag. Some people here like the acceleration lag because once the speed kicks in, it snaps your neck back a bit. But I'm not for it.

It like VTEC kicks in at the 3.5 rpm range or something.

Ugh no... My 06 G35 6mt stock smoked my buddy's 09 328i all day around. 335 definately faster than my G tho. On the other hand, my TTS smokes my buddy's 328i like crazy. Nice car tho and congrats on the purchase!

Drivers make the difference. It wouldn't take a 5 year study to find out when a car is physically harder to drive (ie-transmission) it will loose more races on the street.

75% of the people on the street with these transmissions cant shift them fast properly-resulting losses.

Lets not even get into the average driver not taking off vdc.

In the end enjoy the evo.

dude u were talking about a 2011 328i not a 335i. 335i is 100% faster than the g no matter what. I was talking about you would walk the 328i with your G.

And the G weights 3500lbs FYI, not 3700lbs that 200lbs makes a difference just like my system in my trunk which weighs 120lbs. Maybe u weight 200lbs?? as ur name is "jumbo" lol (no offense)
