Since he is going to fix it, I don't want him to think this website is going to permanently flame him. Even though this event happened, I think it would be better if he still felt comfortable using this forum as a resource.

Don't be ashamed to head out to South Bay meets if the car does get fixed (make sure its done properly). Just MAKE DAMN SURE this was a solid lesson learned.

Actually they are 5 wheel drive.

Upon sudden motion, the 5th wheel comes out of our valve bodies and spins us around for a quicker turn.

I think the OP's 5th wheel reacted too fast when his flux capacitor overloaded..

Please leave track moves on the track, and drive safely on public roads. What are you going to do, or how are you going to feel if you hit and kill somebody else?

I would sue the **** out of you if you hit me drifting around a corner btw. How would you feel if you:
1) totaled your car
2) totaled someone else's car
3) got sued for all of your money
4) had enormous insurance rates
5) got sent to jail for recklessness

ALL IN ONE DAY.

Take it to the autocross course (cheap) or track and really learn how to handle a car.

I'm not trying to bash on you, I'm just trying to present you with severe consequences you could have if you don't learn from this. Please be safe on roads you share with other vehicles.

I thought I saw a vid of a course at Candlestick that was pretty wide open, but I'm not 100% on that. You might want to see if any groups do drift friendly events--you might be able to less inhibited there. I would think a call or email to SFR SCCA could get you some venues/clubs that'll work for you. I think about everywhere has cones but if they are spaced widely apart you'll have a lot more room to do as you wish.

You should be fine going over speedbumps in stock height but once you lower it then you should angle it. But one thing you'll realize when you go low is patience and if there are other cars there then wait for them to pass and then go.

I don't pay attention to people when I go over speed bumps. If they get stuck behind me, they're usually patient. I've never gotten honked at by anybody, or if I did, I couldn't hear it over my idle. lol.
