Looking getting an 03 G35, got some ?'s
I actually bought the autocheck says 182,000 miles on 9/15/2006. I mentioned it to a guy I work with and he thinks its a mistake. His father had this happen with his Plymoth Prowler a year ago, car fax had 30,000 miles recorded and it only had 22,000 when he sold it and he owned it from almost new. He said it happens more than you think.
I also spoke with the dealer again and mentioned this and he said it has to be a mistake, the car owners are actually a congressman and his wife and they purchased a Cadillac CTS Coupe from them. The accident was around 20,000 miles and the mileage of 182,000 was reported 2 days after the accident so I think they messed up and added an extra zero onto the mileage.
Im still going to look it over and check out the leather, if it has 182,000 miles on it the leather will show it with cracks and such and if it looks almost new then they probably swapped them out, but not too many ppl swap in new leather seats. And if has that much on it the motor cant run like new and will probably ride like crap. So I have some things to check out when I go. Thanks again for the input

Same thing happened to one of my previous cars. It was inspected and they accidentally put 52,000 instead of 152,000. Now the carfax says odometer rollback. But if you look at the rest of the records on the carfax you can tell the car was right below 152,000 miles prior to the inspection and above it at my next inspection...no biggie.
lol... I hear ya. Im actually looking into another G35. Here the link. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...5&aff=national
Its alittle bit more money but comes with nav, subs, its black and 2 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. This one will be my top priority then if it doesnt work out I will still check on the silver one.

I doubt the car was actually rolled back if that is the only thing that is wrong with the autocheck. That is 182,000 miles in 3 years. The car had 83 miles in October of 03'. That is 60,000 miles a year. And that was back in 06' so the car would have way over 200,000 miles by now.
I say the car had 18,200 miles and whoever did the inspection wrote a extra 0 by accident. What is the mileage on the next event in the autocheck?

Check the door lock motors also. I have an 03 and i have had all the problems listed window motor, door lock motor, and radio display. Luckily I know how to fix it all myself and saved a lot of money.
I had an issue with a vehicle I sold a few years ago. When I paid off the car the guy at the bank added a 1 for the mileage and from 52k the new title showed 152K. Thankfully the new owner noticed and had me have the bank correct it. So I do hope this is what happened to this vehicle. Once again, I hope whatever you get you have lots of fun! Take care and good luck with your future purchase!
