A/T harsh Engagement / Lurch
A/T harsh Engagement / Lurch
Hey everyone. New owner of my second G Coupe with a transmission problem. My car is experiencing the lurch or harsh engagement after a short delay to engage the gear when I shift from Drive to reverse, or vice versa.
I know there is a sedan TSB on this to reprogram the TCM but I dont see one for the coupe. Any other coupe owners have this problem and resolve it somehow?
I have done a search but havent found any that show the problem was resolved in a coupe.

Re: A/T harsh Engagement / Lurch
I think it has been discussed only once, and like this post - no one really participated in it.
I do have the lurch/jerk when I start the car in the morning and go from D to R, I've never noticed it from R to D - maybe because the car is heated up fully? I wasn't aware there was a fix for this...or that it was a problem and the Sedans had a fix for it. Its done it since day 1 when I drove it off the dealership lot, car has 2000 miles on it and is a 2004[.5]
